About Our B.ED. College

DURGAPUR B.ED. COLLEGE is an Institution of training of teachers for secondary as well as higher secondary schools as well as academicians committed to the cause of education in its various forms was established in 2012 and also is a unit of THE TECHNO INDIA GROUP, the undisputed leader in the Education Sector in Eastern India. The Institution was granted approval by the NCTE vide its ERC Order No. ERC / 7-ER-130.6(i).22/2011/11649 dated 17.05.2012 and is also approved by the NCTE for the 2 Years duration B.Ed. Course with an intake of Two Basic Units of 50 Students Each per year as per the New Regulation, 2014 vide its Revised Order No. F. ERC/NCTE/ (ERCAPP256)/B.Ed. (Revised Order)/2015/32231 dated 27.05.2015. Now Durgapur B.Ed. College is approved by NCTE for the two year duration B.Ed. Course with an intake of One Basic Unit Of 50 students each, i.e. total students strength of 100 as per the latest approval by NCTE vide Letter No. F. No. ER- 272.14.11/ERCAPP256/B.Ed./2019/60714, dated 14.06.2019. Durgapur B.Ed. College is also Affiliated to the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (Erstwhile WBUTTEPA) vide its Affiliation ID.:WBUTTEPA/AFFL/B.ED/2021/23013. The Institution offers B.Ed. course not only to the deputed teachers but the fresher candidates who are having B.A. Hons., B.Sc. Hons., and Post Graduate degrees. The students of this Institution are provided English, Bengali, Geography, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, Physical Science, Mathematics and Life Science as method papers. Thus the students from both Humanities and Science streams have the scope to enrol themselves as student teachers in this Institution. The Institution is having a group of well qualified faculties. Thus the students of this Institution are also provided with a very serious, adequate, guided and supervised practice teaching programmes in schools affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education & West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.

Durgapur B.Ed. College was Affiliated to the University of Burdwan vide its Order No. IC/Affln./286 dated 16.07.2012. Presently it is affiliated to the Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Education University (Erstwhile WBUTTEPA) vide its Affiliation ID.:WBUTTEPA/AFFL/B.ED/2021/23013
